Presidents Message
The AACC recently commemorated the 100th Anniversary of ANZAC Day with a service in the Presidio, San Francisco and it was our largest gathering to remember one of the most significant days in Australia’s history. For events such as this we are supported by many friends and partner organizations and it is their contributions that make for a successful day.One of these partners is Nigel Warren, the Australian Consul-General in SF. Over the past 6 years, the AACC has had Nigel's comprehensive support and friendship. He has been a committed & tireless proponent of the AACC and has provided guidance & support for our many initiatives, including the establishment of the Aussie Club a few years ago. Nigel will be ending his tenure at the end of June and will be returning to Australia for a new phase of life with his family. I’d like to offer my warmest thanks to Nigel for all of his support and send best wishes to him, Catherine & their boys for their return to Australia. Please join us on June 16 for Nigel's farewell party.

The end of June also signifies the end of the year for the current Board of Directors. I've been privileged to serve on the Board for a number of years and have had the friendship & support of not only Dawn, our Executive Director, but also other long serving members including Tom Klein, Gordon Stirling & Russ Mansky. Our current board is  dedicated & hard-working but as always, we need to adapt to change. Matt Lough of Telstra has been on the board for the past 2 years and has decided to return to Australia. We will miss Matt but thank him for his infectious enthusiasm & many contributions. We wish him & his wife Kellie all the very best for their new endeavors. As we farewell some we also welcome new members. If you have an interest in becoming more involved in the AACC and our mission to embody, promote & advance the uniquely Australian way to work & play,  please contact me for further details.

We are delighted to have filled all of our spots for Golf Tournament on June 5th. Our thanks to our major sponsors - the Fairmont SF and Cyracom. Tournament supporters; Able Engineering, Littler, Momentum Autogroup, CCW Business Solutions, our Hole and Tee Sponsors, donors, auction prize sponsors and the players. It will be a great day out at Presidio Golf Course.

Best wishes & as always,  thanks for your support!

Jackie

It’s not invariable that the people that come to me for coaching are experiencing an element of burnout, but almost invariable. Sometimes it’s moderate. Other times it’s critical and needs urgent attention. It’s often what   we need to address very early on... refilling

Passports

Australian passports take up to 3 weeks to be issued, including transit time. Please, take a moment to check the expiration date of your Australian passport. Consider renewing your passport if it is expiring within the next 6 months.

Remember, all Australian citizens are expected to enter Australia with an Australian passport, even if they hold a foreign passport. Child and adult renewals can be submitted by mail, accompanied with the relevant original documents. Applications for first child, first adult, and to replace a severely damaged, lost or stolen passport, must be lodged in person.

As of 7 April, 2015, passport applications can be submitted between 9am and 1pm, Monday through Friday, without an appointment. Outside 9am and 1pm an appointment is required, dependent upon availability. Appointments book out 3 weeks in advance.

Please visit our website for more information.

Have you changed your name?

If you have changed your name and would like that change reflected in your passport, please review the instructions online.

The process is different depending on where you were born and where the name change was registered. Applications can be submitted to our office by mail.

Are you out of status and need a passport?

The consulate is not required to report our out-of-status clients to the US government.

Our main concern is to provide an Australian passport to Australian nationals who need to travel. If you are out of status and need to renew or apply for a passport, please refer to our website for instructions and contact our office if you have any questions.

Need your signature witnessed?

Consular officers at our office can certify documents and, for limited documents, witness signatures. If your signature needs to be witnessed on a State issued document, only the Consul-General can perform this service.

An appointment will be necessary for witnessing signatures on a State issued document, even if that document states a consular officer can perform the service. Common State issued documents include drivers licence renewals, land transfers, power of attorneys and bank documents.

Please, contact our office to discuss your notarial needs.
