Hello AACC Members and Friends,
You can feel autumn in the air now and it’s getting darker every day! A perfect time for a trip home (I hear it’s been super-hot in Sydney this week).
It’s been a busy period for Australia–U.S. collaboration.
The Australian Government and the United States have signed a new Framework for Securing Supply in the Mining and Processing of Critical Minerals and Rare Earths. This agreement aims to strengthen resilient and diversified supply chains essential for defence, advanced technologies, and industrial manufacturing. The partnership will be driven by coordinated economic policies, investment, and the leveraging of existing domestic mining and processing capabilities.
Last week, the CSIRO Australia–US Researcher Exchange Network officially launched at Stanford’s Precourt Institute for Energy. The first two CSIRO researchers, Dr. Wenli Wei and Dr. Rebecca Milhuisen have arrived to collaborate on cutting-edge battery technology. The program strengthens Australia–U.S. research ties, builds national capability in battery innovation, and supports the growth of a robust and sovereign Australian battery industry.
The AACC hosted some incredible events this month, including the Sports Tech Panel during SF Tech Week. Huge thanks to SAP Labs for hosting the sold-out event and to our inspiring Australian sports tech leaders who joined the discussion. Looking ahead, we’re excited for our Members Appreciation Happy Houer in November sponsored by AACC member Bobby Gupta of Votal AI and, of course, Penfolds Masterclass tonight!
The Gala Committee has been hard at work securing outstanding sponsors to help us celebrate this milestone event. Don’t miss out, contact Mel today to secure your sponsorship table. Early-bird tickets for members go on sale next month!
Cheers,
Dawn
On behalf of the AACC Board
