Hello AACC Members and Friends, In just two weeks on October 6, we're hosting Australia House at SF Tech Week and we couldn't be more excited. We've assembled an incredible lineup with our partners HSBC Innovation Banking, distillery, and Voice Capital covering Deep Tech investment opportunities in Australia, a provocative conversation about the essential role of humans in the age of AI, and the essential playbook for Australian founders with their sights set on expansion to the US. Whether you join us for one or all of the sessions, we look forward to the conversations and connections that will flow from the day. What an incredible few weeks it's been watching the 49ers and Rams make history at the MCG in Melbourne. The energy, the packed stadium, the wall-to-wall media coverage, it was a defining moment for the US-Australia relationship in ways that go far beyond sports. Our very own Gordon Stirling joined the live pre-game coverage to share insights about Melbourne and what it means for the city to host such an historic sporting event. AACC member and 49ers super fan Fiona Huson was also interviewed ahead of traveling back to Melbourne for the game. With Australia House on the horizon, preparations for the 2027 Australian Gala underway, it's an exciting time at the Chamber. As always, thank you for showing up, making connections, and helping us grow this community.

UNCHARTERED WATERS: AUSTRALIA'S MIGRATION RESET
|
Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke announced major migration changes at the National Press Club. Ministerial directives now prioritise onshore applicants over offshore applicants for permanent skilled and partner visas — meaning where you lodge your partner visa application can materially affect processing speed. Separately, all future visitor visas carry a “No Further Stay” condition, generally preventing onshore extensions, impacting family visit planning.
Operating across the US and Australia, our firm advises expat families on onshore vs. offshore partner visa strategy and visitor visa planning and skilled visas. We also advise on Citizenship applications. Contact us before lodging or traveling: valerie@dagamapereira.com.au

We are delighted to welcome The Australian Ballet to Cal Performances at The University of California, Berkeley for the North American premiere of Oscar, a powerful new work by Tony Award-winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon.
Inspired by the legacy and lore of one of literature’s most extraordinary minds, this "trailblazing masterpiece" (Australian Arts Review) weaves Oscar Wilde's life and beloved characters into a ballet of romance, sacrifice, and forbidden love.
